A section of Highway 9 will be closed from Lower Glen Arbor Road to Upper Glen Arbor on Tuesday, May 14 through Thursday, May 16 from 9 am to 3 pm. This closure is necessary so that Caltrans can perform work on various trees between Scenic Way and Woodland Drive to ensure the safety of all travelers. A crane will be placed on the highway to facilitate this work.
Local residents will be allowed through the closure area.
The California Highway Patrol will be present to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
This roadwork is being performed by the Caltrans Maintenance team in Santa Cruz.
Road information and updates can also be found on Caltrans District 5 Social Media platforms: Twitter at: @CaltransD5, Facebook at: Caltrans Central Coast (District 5) and Instagram at: Caltrans_D5.
Our crews deserve to get home safely too. Drive slowly and carefully in work zones.
